Founded in 1998, Mallot Creek Group Inc. consists of three companies offering a range of consulting and engineering solutions to the meat industry: Mallot Creek Strategies, Mallot Creek Associates and Mallot Creek Solutions offer customized strategic business services, engineering, and computer modeling solutions respectively.

Mallot Creek Strategies has extensive experience in providing strategic business advice, as well as HACCP and food safety solutions, to a diverse range of food industry stakeholders. The company is responsible for several dozen HACCP programs, and has performed HACCP implementation and maintenance, food safety employee training, and in-plant food safety recruitment. Mallot Creek currently offers HACCP services to over a dozen clients on a consistent basis. Recent clients of HACCP services include:

• An Ontario-based food processing firm, for whom HACCP training was provided and HACCP recognition was achieved; and
• A provincial Livestock Council, for whom Mallot Creek Strategies undertook a detailed food safety review of licensed meat processing plants in the province.

Mallot Creek Strategies has experience with small to medium-sized meat processors and typically provides ‘growth’ mode clients with critical strategic business development advice, as well as sales and marketing assistance. The firm has seen several clients from concept to fruition, including a recent gate-to-plate beef processing operation in Saskatchewan. The division is also highly involved in feasibility studies, financial analysis, business plan development and strategic business workshops to aid clients in making well informed and actionable business decisions.

Mallot Creek Associates, the engineering arm of Mallot Creek Group, has championed the conceptual layout and construction of several primary and secondary food and beverage facilities throughout Canada. The Mallot Creek Associates’ team is well versed in all relevant food safety legislation, including export requirements. Currently, Mallot Creek Associates is leading the engineering and design of several protein facilities.

Mallot Creek Associates’ experience in new build, renovations, additions and expansions has earned a reputation for quality work, state-of-the-art design and retro-fitting expertise. A recent accomplishment includes the 1,000,000 square foot confectionary processing plant in Brantford, Ontario.

The Mallot Creek Solutions division of the Mallot Creek Group creates detailed computer models specifically for the food industry. These sophisticated programs have a variety of abilities, including determining realistic operational and facility costs in addition to improving profits of existing production lines. Past clients include highly significant meat councils, for whom hog optimization models were created.
